This Outdoor Dining Hotspot Has Rooftop Views

A new outdoor dining venue in London looks set to become the capital’s favorite

From rooftop bars, outdoor restaurants, terraces and pavement cafe’s, Londoners are about to set foot on a new path to outdoor dining and drinking freedom.

This Spring they can begin to enjoy plenty of alfresco drinking and dining in their bubbles of six at a plethora of outdoor dining venues across the capital.

The Bar at The Dorchester Terrace

Hotel and restaurant venues in London have already adapted and implemented new and stringent health and safety protocols for Covid- secure environments.

And, in order for Londoners to socialise safely once again, many have bolstered and improved their outdoor dining and drinking capabilities at the same time.

Outdoor dining and drinking at The Dorchester for example, has been transformed and expanded, and will be followed by a full hotel reopening  on May 17.

A glamorous new rooftop restaurant and bar will open for groups of up to six, and looks set to become a favorite hotspot at this iconic hotel.

The Dorchester Rooftop will offer outside dining alongside The Dorchester Terrace & Garden and The Spring Garden.

All three will come before the hotel’s 90th anniversary.

The Dorchester Terrace

The Dorchester Rooftop has views across the east of the capital and over London’s Hyde Park.

Alongside alfresco dining and drinking, music lovers can enjoy live DJ sets, whilst blankets, heaters and umbrellas are available for any inclement British weather.

The Dorchester Rooftop menu has been created and developed by the executive chef, Mario Perera and includes a clever melange of Mediterranean, British and French cuisine.

The opening lunch menu also includes dishes made using locally-sourced products.

Sharing plates are black pudding on toast, scotch eggs and lime pickle, with mains including ribeye steak, mushroom and tarragon, or packed cod and lemon verbena.

Unusual deserts include,  a delicious-looking, blood orange posset.

This opening menu will be matched with a series of culinary pop-up ones which will continue throughout the year.

Opening times at The Dorchester Rooftop are 12 pm to 11 pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays, and until midnight from Thursdays to Saturdays.

Reservations only and with a minimum spend of £60 per person.

Otherwise, the popular The Dorchester Terrace & Garden and The Spring Garden are also returning this Spring with delicious cocktails, three- course meals and smaller bites.
