A new London hotel is unveiled for the eco conscious business traveler
Travelodge has introduced its 18-story new-build hotel in London’s docklands which features its latest “budget luxe” design concept with eco trimmings.
This 350-room hotel is located near to East India DLR station and is the 78th property for Travelodge in the capital.
Sustainable elements at this budget hotel includes solar panels, air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points.
A 24 hour bar/café will also feature separate areas for business travellers.
Bedrooms are freshly styled in a new navy-blue palette with the updated look designed by Dexter Moren Associates.
The “budget luxe” design was first revealed in April this year and is of “timeless classic style” in the reception areas, wooden style floorings and contemporary Bar Cafe concept.
The luxe design came about following a survey of 5000 business and leisure travellers.
This new London hotel comes as as the brand strives to become a more sustainable business. It has launched a number of eco initiatives over the past few years.
Travelodge has already implemented things like LED lighting, new carpets made from recycled fishing nets, dual-flush toilets and aerated showers and taps.
