Feel comfortable at airport lounges ahead of your flight by joining an airport lounge program
Priority Pass is one of the best airport lounge access programs that affords frequent travelers the chance to unwind in comfortable surroundings ahead of their flights.
Via setting up an account on the Priority Pass platform and joining this useful program, over 900 well-equipped lounges become available to airline travelers in 400 cities throughout the world.
By downloading the free Priority Pass app and using their personal digital membership card they can feel like they belong to a VIP club whenever they arrive at some of the busiest airports in the world.
Choice of airline and class of travel aren’t factors when choosing a participating lounge, whilst three membership tiers are available to suit any traveling need.
The Standard level has an annual fee with payments due on each lounge visit, the Standard Plus level has an annual fee and offers 10 free lounge visits, and the Prestige level has an annual fee with free and unlimited lounge visits.
The Priority Pass app is simple to navigate whereby users can look for an airport or city, chose a lounge that they like, view favorites and any saved searches.
They can also activate GPS to locate the nearest lounge to them.
Users can quickly check in at a lounge on the spot using their smartphone and without having to book ahead.
When inside the lounge of their choice travelers can relax and switch off, enjoy pre-flight snacks, complimentary drinks and refreshments, quiet spaces to work, showers, beds and use spa facilities.
There are also free Wi-Fi and power charging facilities.
Whilst some of their most popular particpating airport lounges can be found at Los Angeles CA-LAX INTL, New York JFK and Heathrow, further lounges are regularly added to the program which now covers 120 countries.
Priority Pass came to life in 1992. This concept was created by Colin Evans who has launched many startups in the UK and is the Founder and Chairman of The Collinson Group Ltd.
At the time Colin sought to deliver the coveted airport lounge experience that premium class ticket holders often enjoyed to others.
Travelers the world over can now savor necessary downtime in airport lounges ahead of their flights and at affordable rates.
For Priority Pass users, gone are the days of waiting in stressful queues at bustling airports or boarding planes feeling on edge and tired.
A recent survey conducted by Priority Pass also reveals a change in the traveler’s mind-set when it comes to the airport experience with the airport lounge becoming more of a sanctuary for business travelers.
Out of those polled in The Priority Pass Airport Experience Survey almost two thirds of frequent business travelers said that access to a premium airport lounge is an ‘important’ or ‘very important’ factor when they select an airport.
And whilst 51% of frequent business flyers said they actively enjoyed the airport experience, 40% admitted to going straight to the airport lounge and avoiding shops and buying duty free.
A separate piece of research also revealed that there’s a growing shift towards satisfying the needs of the business traveler in today’s digital age.
Half of European travelers polled said they think that digital boarding passes and e-tickets make the airport experience much easier, with 24% of travelers using airport mobile apps.
This figure rises to 41 % of frequent business flyers.
The Airport Experience Survey research was conducted through an online survey in the UK, UAE, USA, Germany, France, Singapore and Hong Kong with 2,906 respondents during January 2016.
The Mass Affluent research conducted in January 2016 surveyed 6,125 respondents across 10 countries – UK, US, India, France, Brazil, Singapore, China, UAE, Australia and Hong Kong.
